Riyadh, Jan. 21, 2021, SPA -- King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) launched the sixth version of KAICIID International and European Fellows Program 2021 for promoting culture of dialogue, consolidating coexistence, respecting diversity, accepting pluralism and supporting common citizenship. The program was supported by members of the multi-religious and multicultural Center’s Board of Directors, and representatives of the Council of Parties of the Founding Countries, at the opening ceremony of the program held today virtually, which was inaugurated by the Secretary General, Faisal bin Muammar. On the occasion, Muammar delivered a speech in which he referred to the consequences of coronavirus pandemic that prevented the meeting from actually taking place, after everyone experienced exceptional circumstances through last year. He stressed that KAICIID has made every effort to deal with the restrictions of the pandemic and will work hard to realistically resume its programs once restrictions are eased.
