Riyadh, November 19, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the summit of the G20 leaders will be held next Saturday and Sunday, under chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The paper added that the summit comes in the light of difficult global conditions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which affected the economic, social, and health conditions of the world's population. The paper further added that Saudi Arabia succeeded in leading the meetings of the working groups and the ministerial meetings of G20 that exceeded a hundred meetings in these difficult circumstances in human history and presented many initiatives and solutions in all financial, monetary, economic and social fields to overcome the pandemic. The paper concluded that Saudi Arabia also succeeded in organizing the extraordinary summit of G20 leaders on March 26, under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which resulted in uniting the efforts of the summit leaders in developing an immediate, effective, and coordinated response to confront the Coronavirus pandemic and support the global economy. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq are witnessing a new phase of strengthening bilateral relations, which reflects the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to push their joint cooperation towards great horizons. The paper added that Jdeideh-Arar port was opened and operated yesterday, which is seen as one of the most important fruits of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council to achieve all the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples and it also represents a qualitative leap that would contributes to increasing the volume of trade exchange and common economic interests.
