Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia mitigates the effects of COVID-19 on the global economic balance

Riyadh, September 13, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at the local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper highlighted in its editorial titled "The repercussions of the pandemic and the Kingdom's commitment" saying that the efforts made by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on the global economic balance, and the initiatives it adopted during its presidency of the G20 had an impact in achieving favorable rates of economic recovery, especially for countries less able to overcome challenges. The newspaper added that the Kingdom's speech, delivered by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami, at the meeting of the United Nations Secretary-General with representatives of G20 on the subject of ways to provide the necessary financing for development in the Era of COVID-19 and beyond, in which it emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to addressing the dire consequences of the "COVID-19" pandemic, especially the negative repercussions, affecting the most vulnerable groups in society and developing countries. --SPA 09:55 LOCAL TIME 06:55 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1409582
