Riyadh, May 26, 2020, SPA -- An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that, based on what the relevant health authorities submitted regarding the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the possibility of changing the times of the partial curfews and the return of some activities amid precautionary and preventive measures, the approval has been issued on the following: First: From Thursday 5 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to May 28, 2020 AD until the end of Saturday 7 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to May 30, 2020 AD, the following will be done: - Changing the allowed period during the curfew in all regions of Saudi Arabia, except the city of Makkah, to become from six in the morning until three in the evening. - Allowing travelling between regions and cities in Saudi Arabia by private car during the allowed period of curfew. - Continuity of the activities exempted in the previous decisions that permitted to open some economic and commercial activities during the allowed period of the curfew in the following fields: 1- Wholesale and retail shops. 2- Commercial centers (malls). - Continuity of prevention all activities that do not achieve physical distance, including: beauty salons, barber salons, sports and health clubs, recreational centers, cinemas, and other activities determined by the competent authorities. Second: From Sunday 8 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to May 31, 2020 AD, until the end of Saturday 28 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to June 20, 2020 AD, the following will be done: - Changing the allowed period during the curfew in all regions of Saudi Arabia, except the city of Makkah, to become from six in the morning until eight in the evening. - Continuity of all the activities exempted in the previous decisions. - Allowing perform Friday prayer and all other prayers in the mosques of Saudi Arabia, mosques in city of Makkah are excepted, amid precautionary and preventive measures. - Continuity of performing Friday prayer and all other prayers in the grand holy mosque amid current health and precautionary measures. - Lifting the suspension of attendance to the ministries, government agencies and private sector companies, and return to conducting their office activities in accordance with the measures that will be made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities. -- More 06:39 LOCAL TIME 03:39 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1337696
