Beijing, May 10, 2020, SPA -- A forest fire in south-western China has triggered a major fire brigade operation, with more than 1,300 firefighters battling the blaze on Sunday, according to dpa. The forest fire in Yunnan province near the city of Kunming had broken out on Saturday, the state run Xinhua news agency reported. Parts of the fire could be extinguished by Sunday, but the cause of the blaze remained unknown at this point. Especially during the summer months, forest fires repeatedly occur in some parts of China.
