Saudi Press: Lifting Arms Embargo on Iran will Lead to more Destruction and Devastation

Riyadh, August 20, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that since the launch of the Kingdom's vision 2030, qualitative transformation of sustainable development was made in all sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . The paper said that Saudi Arabia's development strategy focused on multi key factors that include involvement of the role of the private sector as vital partner in the plans and programs of its vision, in addition to providing an attractive environment for domestic and foreign investments. The paper concluded that the anti-corruption efforts during the recent period has effectively contributed to make such achievements in various fields. Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the international community, especially the major powers must hasten extending the international ban imposed on supplying weapons to Iran' regime. The paper said that the extension is an urgent need for global peace and security, after it has been proven by hundreds of evidence and incidents that Iran supports terrorism, spreads sabotage around the world and aims to destabilize the security of the Arab and Gulf countries and the rest of the countries in the world through arming and financing its proxy terrorist militias. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has come at the top of the countries in the world that demanding the extension of the ban on Iran.
