Budapest, Mar 19, 2021, SPA -- Tougher restrictions came into force in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday, due to an exponential rise in case numbers, dpa cited news portal klix.ba as reporting. In Sarajevo, restaurants have to close from Friday evening and the nightly curfew was extended by two hours, starting at 9 pm. Masks are now mandatory outdoors, social gatherings were banned and schools have closed. The lockdown is to remain in place for the next 15 days in the city and its region. The virus rules differ by region in Bosnia-Herzegovnia, a country of 3.2 million inhabitants. The number of infections has recently risen exponentially, with 1,436 new cases reported on Friday.
