Cairo, June 24, 2020, SPA -- The Arab Parliament condemned in the strongest terms the repeated attacks by the Houthi coup militia on the Kingdom by launching ballistic missiles and drones, and called on the United Nations to oblige the Houthi coup militia to stop these cowardly aggressive actions targeting civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a resolution issued at the end of its public session held virtually today on the latest developments in Yemen, the parliament held the Iranian regime full responsible for its flagrant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions and its continued provision of Houthi coup militia with smart weapons, ballistic missiles and drones with the aim of destabilizing security in the region and perpetuating chaos in Republic of Yemen. The parliament stressed the necessity to adhere to the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh agreement signed between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council on the fifth of November 2019. The parliament welcomed the organization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the United Nations, the Donors' Conference for Yemen 2020 AD on June 2, 2020, appreciating the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the first supporter for the Yemeni people and the largest funders of the United Nations humanitarian response plans in Yemen, where they provided aid with a total amount of approximately $ 17 billion USD since the beginning of the crisis in September 2014, and recently donated $ half a billion to support the humanitarian response plan for Yemen for the year 2020 AD. The Arab Parliament blamed the Houthi militia for displacing by force more than 8000 migrants from African countries to the Republic of Yemen, including women and children, and pushed them towards the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the month of April 2020 AD, in an attempt to exploit the global situation and the spread of the Corona pandemic and try to undermine border security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and incite international non-governmental organizations, and the Arab Parliament appreciates the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's handling of these cases by all humanitarian standards and providing all necessary humanitarian services to them. --SPA 01:35 LOCAL TIME 22:35 GMT 0045 www.spa.gov.sa/w1357201
