Muslims Perform Fajr Prayer at Grand Mosque as Starting of Third Phase of Gradual Return to Performing Umrah

Makkah, November 01, 2020, SPA -- Muslims performed Salat Al-Fajr (dawn prayer) at the Grand Mosque today, according to what has been determined by competent authorities. As many as 60,000 people per day will be allowed to pray at the Grand Mosque and they will be received according to specified guidelines and via approved permits through Eatmarna application. Muslims have arrived at the Grand Mosque in an atmosphere full of spirituality and faith. A system of integrated services taking into account all precautionary and preventive measures has been also ensured to provide the best means of prevention and safety for those visiting the Two Holy Mosques. The General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque in cooperation with the concerned authorities has enhanced its services and organized the entry and exit processes of worshipers through gathering points and their commitment to the requirements of precautionary measures including temperature detection by thermal cameras, continuous sterilization of hands, wearing face masks, in addition to the commitment to the instructional posters of social distancing, specified paths, and all means of infection control within the services system of the Grand Mosque. --SPA 13:17 LOCAL TIME 10:17 GMT 0005 www.spa.gov.sa/w1439814
