11 Hurt After M5.0 Quake in Central Japan

Tokyo, Sep 5, 2020, SPA -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 shook central Japan today but no tsunami warning was issued, Kyodo quoted Japan's weather agency as saying. The quake leaves at least 11 people hurt. It struck around 9:10 a.m. in Fukui Prefecture and originated at a depth of about 10 kilometers, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The quake registered lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in the city of Sakai, Fukui Prefecture. A total of 11 people were injured, according to the Fukui prefectural government.
