Ministry of Health: 3,369 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Jun 8, 2020, SPA -- The Ministry of Health said in a statement today that 3,369 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 105,283 cases, including 30,013 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 1,632 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. As many as 1,707 cases have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 74,524. "The new confirmed cases include 52% Saudi citizens and 48% non-Saudi residents. The females represent 31% of the cases, while the males represent 69%. Only 5% of the reported cases are older persons, 11% are children and 84% are adults," the Ministry of Health said. The Ministry of Health also said that the new cases were reported in Riyadh (746), Jeddah (577), Makkah (376), Dammam (301), Hofuf (241), Qatif (224), Khobar (180), Madinah (124), Dhahran (99), Taif (42), Diriyah (41), Khamis Mushait (38), Mubarraz (33), Jubail (28), Kharj (22), Tabuk (21), Ras Tanura (19), Wadi Al-Dawasir (18), Hafar Al-Batin (15), Abha (13), Ardhah (13), Jazan (13), Arar (13), Yanbu (10), Bisha (9), Najran (9), Abu Arish (8), Baish (8), Sabya (8), Jafr (7), Ayoun (6), Nairyah (6), Mahd Al-Thahab (5), Buraidah (5), Khurma (5), Namas (5), Khafji (5), Sharurah (5), Samtah (4), Rabigh (4), Duba (4), Ahad Rafidah (3), Abqaiq (3), Layth (3), Uwayqilah (3), Muzahmiyyah (3), Sulayyil (3), Baha (2), Mandaq (2), Tabarjal (2), Uyun Al-Jawa (2), Riyad Al Khubara (2), Qunfudhah (2), Mahayil Asir (2), Rijal Alma (2), Safwa (2), Ruwaidah Al-Ardh (2), Aqiq (1), Makhwah (1), Qura (1), Baljurashi (1), Unaizah (1), Thurayban (1), Dhulm (1), Harajah (1), Qahma (1), Dhahran Al-Janoub (1), Qariat Al-Olaya (1), Hail (1), Faifa (1), Khulais (1), Khabash (1), Shu'bah (1), Dilam (1), Zulfi (1), Huraymla (1), Rafaya Jamshah (1) and Tamir (1). The Ministry of Health also said that 34 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 746. Regarding the lab tests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as many as 18,578 new lab tests have been conducted, bringing the total tests to date to 976,815. "The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has jumped to 7,033,333 cases, of which 3,149,979 cases have recovered to date.
