Manama, August 26, 2020, SPA -- King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received here today visiting U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways of enhancing and developing them, particularly in the political and economical aspects, reviewed the latest important developments at the regional and international arenas and exchanged view points on issues of common interest including the efforts being exerted to achieve stability and peace in the region. King Hamad Al Khalifa paid tribute to the firm Bahraini U.S. ties and the close partnership between his country and the United States. The King underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to end the Palestinian Israeli conflict according to the two-state solution that leads to fair and comprehensive peace, and the establishment of the independent sovereign Palestinian state with Eastern Al-Quds as its capital, according to the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
