Saudi Cultural Mission, ISESCO Organize Special Reception to Mark Arabic Language World Day, in Rabat

Rabat, Dec 27, 2019, SPA -- The Cultural Attaché Office, at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) organized today at the organization’s headquarters in Rabat, a celebration on the occasion of the World Day of the Arabic Language, which falls on the 18th of December, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghurery, experts and specialists in the Arabic language. Director General of ISESCO Dr. Salem bin Muhammad al-Malik stated that the digital contents written in the Arabic language in various fields do not exceed 3% of the total global content on the Internet, stressing that the advancement of the Arabic language in its educational, scientific and media dimensions, is a shared responsibility and everyone should bear its responsibilities Vis-à-vis all of his site. He pointed out that within the framework of its new vision, the organization pays great attention to renewing the curricula and means in the field of teaching the Arabic language to speakers of other languages, believing that the enormous opportunities provided by information and communication technology would facilitate its teaching and learning in various cultural environments.
