Riyadh, December 27, 2019, SPA -- The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) launched its training program for intellectual property support centers at its headquarters in Riyadh. More than 60 male and female trainees from 20 government and private establishments participated. The program went on for three days, during which a number of experts and specialists provided information and shared experiences aimed at promoting a culture of intellectual property protection, and converting it to intellectual capital within those establishments. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Swailem, CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. In his opening remarks, he pointed to the growing global competitiveness in development and innovation, and called for ways to enhance the management and utilization of intellectual property rights. Throughout the program, the participants learned about intellectual property systems and policies in various fields, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, neighboring rights and industrial designs.
