Jeddah, 28 January, 2020, SPA -- The 49th Session of the Permanent Finance Committee of the OIC started here today which is the first preparatory meeting for the 47th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC to be held in Niamey, the Republic of Niger at the beginning of April of this year. During the opening session, the Presidency of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was transferred from the United Arab Emirates, which chaired the forty-sixth session of the Council, to the Republic of Niger, which will chair the forty-seventh session of the Council of Foreign Ministers. The Secretary General of the OIC, Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, in his speech delivered by OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Financial and Administrative Affairs Ambassador Musa Kulaklikaya stressed that strengthening the role of the organization supports joint Islamic work and pushes the efforts of the organization in many areas, in addition to responding to the challenges faced by member states of the organization. --SPA 18:45 LOCAL TIME 15:45 GMT 0028 www.spa.gov.sa/w1255144
