Geneva, October 07,2019, SPA -- The 8th Forum of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) will kick off tomorrow in Geneva under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of Prince Talal International Prize. The Forum will continue for two days. At its current session at the United Nations, the Forum includes an international symposium on "Empowering Women Through Financial Inclusion", with the aim of finding concrete ways to achieve sustainable development goals by empowering women and making them a part of the formal economic system in their countries. The seminar will bring together experts and influential leaders from business, government, civil society and academics. The second day of the Forum will be devoted to the award ceremony of Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development, which was established in 1999, and is a strategic tool for developing countries to successfully reach sustainable development goals. Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development 2018, which will be awarded during the Forum, focuses on the first sustainable development goal, namely, eradicating poverty.
