Saudi representative to Islamic Environment Ministers Conference in Rabat highlights Saudi prize for environment management in the Islamic world

Rabat, Oct. 02, 2019, SPA -- President of the General Authority for Meteorology and Protection of Environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Suleiman Al-Traiqi, who is also chairman of the higher committee of the Kingdom's prize for environmental management in the Islamic world, confirmed the interest and keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on maintaining environment and preserving its resources in the Islamic world. Addressing the 8th session of the Islamic Conference of the Ministers of Environment held in Rabat today, in the presence of Princess Sumaya bint Al-Hasan, Chairperson of the Royal Scientific Association of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Morocco's Minister of Culture and Communication Mohammed Al-A'araj, Al-Traiqi said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's prize for environmental management in the Islamic world has come to expand its range from Arab to Islamic world, therefore charging the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture to deal with it, as part of the continuous interest and care of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to encourage the Joint Islamic environmental action to benefit from international experience in this field. --SPA 19:17 LOCAL TIME 16:17 GMT 0034 www.spa.gov.sa/w1183339
