Khartoum, Aug. 17, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the historic agreement reached by all Sudanese parties aimed at achieving the interest of Sudan and preserving its security, safety and stability. "I convey to you the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, who wishes your country prevailing security and stability and that through the vigor of its sons and the determination of its leadership, Sudan will overcome all circumstances," Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Member of the Cabinet Adel Al-Jubeir told a press conference held, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the Sudan Agreement. He added "Since the beginning of the events witnessed by the Republic of Sudan, the Kingdom has exerted all efforts to contribute to the realization of the aspirations of the Sudanese people and to reach this agreement, pushed for the success of the African Union and Ethiopia initiative, provided everything that would protect the Sudanese and save the security and territorial integrity of Sudan, based on the sincere brotherhood that connects the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, which is a beacon that illuminates the paths of aid and empowerment of a country that we are satisfied with only what we accept for ourselves". He reaffirmed the Kingdom's blessing of the historic agreement reached by all Sudanese parties aiming at achieving the interest of Sudan, preserving its security, safety and stability and restoring its natural status and desirable regional role, based on the historical and fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the brotherly Republic of Sudan, to achieve regional and international security, peace and stability. He reiterated the Kingdom's stand with all parties in the Republic of Sudan, and its firm conviction of the ability of the Sudanese brothers of various affiliations to overcome this critical juncture in the history of their country, to achieve the bright future they aspire to, adding that the Kingdom supports the efforts of the African Union and the efforts of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia. This is part of a deep belief in the necessity and importance of maintaining the stability and security of Sudan and protecting it from all forms of external interference, that would have led to chaos inside Sudan, he pointed out. Sudan stands today on the thresholds of a better future for its sons, away from any influences targeting the unity of its people, who believe in his homeland, and presented his interests to enjoy the stability of the blessed good intentions of this decent country.
