Saudi Media Forum to Discuss Media and Political Power

Riyadh, Nov. 18, 2019, SPA -- The Saudi Media Forum, scheduled for Riyadh next December, will discuss the media's role in containing and fueling political crises in the Arab World. The session will host Yemeni Information Minister Moammar Al-Eryani; Writer and Political Analyst Abdulwahab Badr Khan; Journalist at France 24 Taoufik Mjaied, and Political Analyst Sabah Al-Khozai while Nadim Koteich will administer the session. The session will highlight the media outlets' experience in dealing with the Arab revolutions and political movement witnessed by a number of states in the recent decade. The session will also discuss the role of digital platforms which allow individuals and civil society organizations to form public opinion in addition to a mechanism of media outlets in dealing with events. The 1st Saudi Media Forum titled" Media Industry: Opportunities and Challenges" aims to provide the opportunity for Saudi media professionals and other prominent Arab and foreign media figures to meet and discuss the developments and challenges facing the industry.
