Riyadh, Safar 15, 1440, Oct 24, 2018, SPA – The 1st Conference of Saudi Women's Studies kicked off today at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh. An exhibition titled "The Saudi Women: Present and Future, was opened on the sidelines of the conference. A number of speakers noted during the opening session that this conference came within Princess Nourah University's vision and strategic goal that the university has adopted to serve the cause of women, to utilize the scientific research in the services of women and to contribute to the success of development plans in accordance with vision 2030. They also pointed to the importance of the conference due to the fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is booming under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince. The conference included five sessions that dealt with women and their roles, needs, priorities, the challenges that face them and their impact on society, and support for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to empower women.
