Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants beneficiaries of Makkah Road Initiative e-Hajj visas

Riyadh, July 7, 2019 -- Director General of Information Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim bin Abdulwahab Al-Gharib, said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is participating with other concerned government agencies in the implementation of the Makkah Road Initiative, which comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to facilitate procedures for pilgrims and provide them with best services. He explained in a press statement today that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants beneficiaries of the initiative e-Hajj visas after taking vital characteristics, and inserting pilgrims data in the electronic track of Hajj visas linked to several bodies in the Kingdom. Al-Gharib said that the Makkah Road Initiative was implemented for the Hajj season of this year 1440 H last Thursday at the airports of Islamabad in Pakistan and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and began the first flight today in Indonesia and will be followed by Bangladesh.
