To mark the occasion, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud delivered a speech in which he said: "In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most gracious, Praise be to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Mohammed, Dear leaders of the military and security sectors and their employees, Dear audience, May Allah's peace, mercy and blessing be upon you. I am pleased to congratulate the male and female citizens and pilgrims of the holy house of Allah on the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Adh-ha, may Allah reward us and the Muslim nation with His good, blessings and acceptance. Allah has blessed our country with many favors, as it was specially honored to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors. It fulfilled its duty for the sake of Allah, welcomed the guests of Allah without exception and provided them with all the services that allow them to perform their rituals with ease, smoothness, security and satisfaction. This was achieved only by the grace of Allah and, then, by the great efforts exerted by the State's apparatus in all its sectors. Dear Brothers, On this Muslims' auspicious occasion, let us express our appreciation of the military and security sectors for the effort they exert in the service of pilgrims as well as in the defense of the homeland, the protection of the sanctuaries and sacrifice in the field of honor, efforts and sacrifices that were and will continue to be the pride and gratitude of our homeland. We appeal to Allah the Almighty to preserve our country and perpetuate the grace of good, security and faith on it. And may Allah's peace, mercy and blessing be upon you. --More 18:21 LOCAL TIME 15:21 GMT 0016 www.spa.gov.sa/w1154660
