Yemeni Government Calls on the UN to Compel Houthi Militias, to Implement Stockholm Agreement on Hodeida

Aden, January 26, 2019, SPA -- Yemeni Premier Moin Abdulmalik called on the United Nations and the international community to compel the Iranian-backed Houthi militias to show their seriousness and commitment to implement the Stockholm Agreement on Hodeida, abide by the cease-fire, remove armed manifestations and stop reinforcing military defenses. He stressed the need to focus on the mechanism of redeployment, in Hodeida and that the militia adhere to all provisions of the Stockholm agreement, with the withdrawal of the Houthi militias, from the ports of Hodeida, Salif and Ras Issa. This was unfolded during a meeting in Aden, with Governor of Hodeida province Hassan Tahir, and representatives of the government side in the redeployment committee, in the province of Hodeida. The Yemeni premier pointed to the humanitarian situation as suffering of the population in the affected areas, especially, in Hodeida, as results of the war imposed by the Houthi militias, according to the official Yemeni news agency.
