Khartoum, Dhu-AlQa'dah 06, 1439, July 19, 2018, SPA -- Saudi ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hasan Jaafar met at his office in Khartoum today with Dr. Karrar Al-Tohami, the Secretary General of the Authority in charge of Sudanese Expatriates Affairs. During the meeting, the ambassador lauded the role being played by the authority to facilitate routine matters for Sudanese expatriates, further associate them with their country and enhance the people-to-people ties between Sudanese expatriates and their host countries, praising, in this context, the Sudanese popular contribution to the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia throughout history, citing the role of a number of Sudanese students in Saudi universities. For his part, Dr. Al-Tohami paid tribute to the deep-rooted firm Saudi Sudanese relations and noted its vigorous development at all levels and in all fields. He gave an account on the efforts being exerted by his administrative apparatus to hold the 7th general conference for Sudanese expatriates in mid-August 2018, disclosing that a special session will be offered during the conference to highlight the role of the Sudanese community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from a popular diplomacy perspective in further promoting the ties between the two peoples in addition to holding a special exhibition on the Sudanese Saudi relations as part of the conference. --SPA 19:15 LOCAL TIME 16:15 GMT 0030 www.spa.gov.sa/w719119
