Riyadh, Shaaban 30, 1439, May 16, 2018, SPA -- Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), and Nawaf Al-Timyat, Deputy President of the Saudi Football Federation, who is also Chairman of the Preparation Team for Participation in Russia World Cup, have co-dedicated "SPA Icon" designed to transmit the news of the Saudi soccer national team at Russia world finals 2018 in both Arabia and Russian languages, together with relevant photographs and information about the history of sports in the Kingdom as well as the Kingdom's vision 2030. To mark the occasion, Al-Hussein expressed, in remarks following the inauguration of the icon, his welcome of the launch of this sports-media project aiming at highlighting the participation of the national team in this international occasion, and, at the same time, introduce to the world the multi-farious marvelous development of the Kingdom in several fields within the developmental steps adopted by SPA, enjoying the support of His Excellency the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, who is also the chairman of the board of directors of SPA. Al-Hussein lauded the efforts being exerted by Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh, the President of the General Commission for Sports, aiming to promote the sports sector of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who spares no effort to boost the profile of his country in all fields, particularly the sports domain.
