Riyadh, Dhu-Al-Hijjah 01, 1438 H., August 23, 2017, SPA -- Al-Bat-ha Customs thwarted an attempt to smuggle an undeclared big amount of money out of the Kingdom amounting to SR2,232,300, which was hidden in a vehicle leaving the Kingdom. General Director of Customs Abdulrahman Al-Mahanna explained that a "private" vehicle arrived for departure. During the customs procedures, the money was found hidden in the spare tire cavity of the vehicle. He stressed that all travelers departing and arriving must disclose financial amounts or precious metals worth more than SR60,000 in accordance with the AML system by filling out the declaration form.
