Cairns, Australia, 18 Shaban 1438 H corresponding to 14 May 2017 SPA--Acting Charge D'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy to Australia Mishaal bin Hamdan Al-Ruqi has met with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop on the sidelines of the annual meeting of representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Australia held today at the official invitation of the Australian Foreign Ministry in Cairns, northern Australian, with participation of more than 80 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions. The Australian Foreign Minister said the meeting aimed at promoting the concept of economic diplomacy and informing members of the diplomatic community about foreign investment opportunities and economic and tourism cooperation in the State of Queensland and Australia. The heads of missions participated in a reception hosted by Australian Governor-General Peter Cosgrove yesterday expressing his appreciation for the roles of heads of diplomatic missions in developing bilateral friendly relations and cooperation with their countries, wishing them all success in their missions.
