Cairo, Rabi'I 20, 1438, December 19, 2016, SPA -- Sheikh Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb received at his office in Cairo today the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, who is also the Kingdom's permanent representative to the Arab League and dean of Arab diplomatic corps accredited to Egypt. During the reception, Al-Tayyeb lauded the great role the Kingdom is playing, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in supporting Islam and Muslims all over the world, citing the rehabilitation works currently ongoing at Al-Azhar at the expense of the Kingdom's government.
