A number of experts interviewed by the Saudi Press Agency on the sidelines of activities of (A Day in Riyadh), which recently concluded its work and activities at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, have said that many of the challenges facing the process of sustainable development in the city of Riyadh are similar to those faced by other cities in the world, but that a number of these challenges is rare and confined to the cities' dry desert environment. Founder and President of Arab American Institute, James Zogby, described the city of Riyadh with its current status as the city that works, pointing out that the development of the capital started from the scratch. He said that the challenges facing the city of Riyadh are the same challenges faced by any major city around the world and how to continue to grow in an orderly manner and ensure the quality of life. Executive Vice President and Business Development Director at the National Council on US-Arab Relations Pat Mancino said that the development is currently underway in the city of Riyadh in a systematic manner that takes into account many aspects through good thinking and highly comprehensive and advance planning. --SPA 14:43 LOCAL TIME 11:43 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
