Los Angeles, Dhu-AlHijjah 12, 1438, September 03, 2017, SPA -- The city of Los Angeles is facing what is likely its largest ever wildfire, Mayor Eric Garcetti said Saturday. The blaze north of central Los Angeles in the Verdugo Mountains has burned some 2,000 hectares and was only 10 per cent contained, Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas said. Some 500 firefighters were battling the slow moving La Tuna blaze, and officials warned it could become erratic if winds kick up amid soaring temperature. Mandatory evacuations were in place for some 700 homes, but only one home had been burned. --SPA 03:47 LOCAL TIME 00:47 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w480559
