Riyadh, Sha'ban 2, 1437, May 9, 2016, SPA -- A security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said a terrorist, who previously took part in a failed attempt to storm a police station in Al-Taif before fleeing the scene, was apprehended and finally killed after a fire exchange with the security force which approached his hideout with the help of guides in the surroundings. The spokesman said that, pursuant to interior ministry's statement yesterday informing that Corporal Saeed Dihaibesh Aidha Al-Harthi martyred during a foiled attempt by armed attackers against Haddad Police Station in Bani Malik of Taif province who fled the scene towards a mountainous area on the outskirts of Thaqeef village, the security force successfully located, with the help of guides from the village, the whereabouts of Sergeant Mohammed Hizam Khider Al-Asmani Al-Malki, one of the members of the gang, who resorted to a hideout in Kho Al-Ghorab mountain in Bani Malik, Taif province. Instead of responding to calls for surrender from the security force which cornered him, the terrorist managed to fire at them without inflicting them any losses, the spokesman said, adding that the man, who was also the producer of a recent video threatening the security men and killer, among others, of Khalaf Lafi Galil Al-Harithi while on duty at Al-Girai'e police station, in Taif province, on 29/7/1437 H., was finally killed today. --SPA 20:21 LOCAL TIME 17:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
