Beijing, Rabi'I 3, 1438, Dec 2, 2016, SPA -- Eighteen people died when a bus plunged off a road and into a lake near the city of Ezhou in central China, state media reported on Friday. According to dpa, the bus driver has been detained and placed under investigation, state-run China Central Television reported. Rescuers pulled the bus out of the water at a section of road near Miaoling township. All the victims were able to be identified, according to the Ezhou publicity department. In total, 20 people were travelling on the bus at the time of the accident. The official Xinhua news agency reported 17 dead in the crash.
