Ottawa, Dhu-AlHijjah 29, 1437, Sep 30, 2016, SPA -- Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Adviser and General Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works, has lauded the pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the humanitarian field and its commitment of the neutral work and applying the international humanitarian law in accordance with the Islamic teachings which urge to maintain the human dignity. This came in a press conference held yesterday by Dr. Al-Rabeeah with presence of Saudi ambassador to Canada Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi and a group of journalists and officials interested in humanitarian relief work. He stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has provided humanitarian and relief assistance to the afflicted people in the whole world, adding that the center has provided 118 programs until current September in the fields of food security, shelter, health, water, environmental sanitation, nutrition, education, protection, early recovery and logistics services in more than 30 countries with total cost of $550 million. Dr. Al-Rabeeah also highlighted the Kingdom's efforts in Yemen, stressing that the Kingdom provided the assistance for relieving the suffering of the peoples and supporting refugees in the world without discrimination on the grounds of race, color and religion. --SPA 14:09 LOCAL TIME 11:09 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
