Hajj / Public Security Announces 12,850 Violators of Hajj Regulations Until Yesterday

Mina, Dhu-AlHijjah 7, 1436, Sep 21, 2015, SPA -- Major General Mansour Al-Turki, Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, stated that the aim of this press conference is to highlight the plans regarding the ascending of pilgrims. For his part, Colonel Sami Al-Shwaikher, Commander of the Awareness and Media Department at the Public Security, said that the security and traffic preparations for the command of the Hajj security forces began since the end of the last Hajj season where all security and traffic plans are completed for receiving and organizing crowds management. He added that security and traffic plans for ascending of the pilgrims and follow-up of the main roads leading to and from the holy sites and the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the holy sites have been covered well. "Plans of organizing the pilgrims in Makkah, the Grand Mosque and the expansion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques have been completed thankfully. We can say until now that our plans are going without recording any observations or constraints," Colonel Sami Al-Shwaikher, pointing out that the number of violators of the Hajj regulations and instructions until yesterday reached 12,850 where 35,990 vehicles are seized and returned.
