Riyadh, Dhu-AlQa'dah 8, 1436, Aug 23, 2015, SPA -- The Ministry of Health held a press conference here today to provide the society and the media with the developments of Corona virus. The press conference focused on the recent increase in the number of people infected with Corona Virus in King Fahd National Guard Hospital as well as the steps taken to contain it. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saeed said that the total cases infected with Coruna virus in King Fahad Hospital at King Abdulaziz City stood at 53 cases, including 4 health practitioners. He also said that 32 are receiving treatment in hospitals, 3 are in home quarantine, 1 received treatment and was discharged, and 17 died. Dr. Abdulaziz also said that the total number of cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stood at 65 cases which are still receiving treatment in hospitals, adding that 7 new cases were recorded yesterday in Riyadh Region. As many as 1,141 cases were recorded since the beginning of 2012.
