Washington, Dhu-AlQa'dah 03, 1436, August 18, 2015, SPA -- The US-led coalition conducted 13 airstrikes against the terrorist IS group in Iraq on Sunday and also targeted the militant group in Syria with five air attacks, the Combined Joint Task Force said in a statement Monday. It explained that two airstrikes near Baiji in Iraq destroyed nine IS vehicles, seven buildings, and three explosive devices. "The Recent airstrikes and the advance of Iraqi security forces in the area of the Baiji oil refinery have produced devastating results for the insurgents, blocking their movements and causing them to suffer significant personnel losses", Brigadier General Kevin Killea, the chief of staff for the taskforce, said in the statement.
