ATHENS, Greece, Muharram 23, 1437, November 05, 2015, SPA -- A Greek conservative opposition lawmaker has suffered cuts and bruises after an attack outside Parliament by a group of suspected far-right supporters, according to AP. Speaking in Parliament later Thursday, Giorgos Koumoutsakos accused backers of the Nazi-inspired Golden Dawn party of attacking him during a protest by descendants of Greek refugees from the Black Sea coast of Turkey. No arrests were made. The protest was triggered by comments by the left-wing government's education minister, Nikos Filis, who questioned the officially-accepted description in Greece of early 20th century massacres of ethnic Greek Turks as genocide. Filis angered Koumoutsakos' party, as well as nationalists, by referring to the killings as "ethnic cleansing." It was unclear why the mob targeted Koumoutsakos. All parties condemned the attack. --SPA 00:12 LOCAL TIME 21:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
