Rio de Janeiro, Sha'ban 10, 1436, May 28, 2015, SPA -- Hospital officials say a German citizen whose body was severely burned in an explosion that destroyed his and several other apartments in a Rio de Janeiro building has died. The Pedro II Hospital tells the state-run Agencia Brasil news agency that Markus Muller died Thursday morning, AP reported. Authorities say a poorly installed gas pipeline to a stove in one of the apartments caused the May 18 explosion in the upscale Sao Conrado district.
