Kabul, Ramadan 13, 1436, Jun 30, 2015, SPA -- The Taliban launched a suicide car bomb attack on a NATO military convoy in Afghanistan's capital on Tuesday, killing two people and wounding 26 others, including two U.S. soldiers, officials said. The blast sent a huge plume of black smoke over the city and scattered glass and metal across the main highway to Kabul's airport, AP reported. Kabul deputy police chief Sayed Gulagha said a suicide bomber struck the convoy with a vehicle packed with explosives. Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said two Afghan civilians were killed and at least 24 wounded, some critically. A spokeswoman for NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, U.S. Army Capt. Susan Harrington, said two American soldiers sustained minor injuries in the attack. --SPA 17:50 LOCAL TIME 14:50 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
