New York, 22 Rabi'II 1436 H, February 11, 2015, SPA -- Kuwait today called, on behalf of the Arab group at the United Nations, for an Arab permanent representation in the Security Council as part of any future Security Council reforms. Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi, Kuwait's Permanent Representative at the United Nations, said in a speech on behalf of the Arab Group before the United nations General Assembly that the accelerating challenges at the international arena make it more imperative to have a permanent representation for the Arab Group at the Security Council. He said the reforms of the Security Council and fair representation at the current five-permanent member apparatus are basic pillars in the overall reform process of the United nations. --SPA 23:55 LOCAL TIME 20:55 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
