Explosion reported at chemical plant in eastern China

Beijing, Dhu-AlQa'dah 7, 1436, Aug 22, 2015, SPA -- An explosion ripped through a chemical plant in eastern China on Saturday night, state media reported, but there were no immediate reports of casualties. According to dpa, a fire was triggered by the blast in Shandong province, the Xinhua news agency reported, and quoted a witness as saying that 12 fire trucks were called in to battle the blaze. Meanwhile, the toll has risen to 121 from last week's massive explosions at a chemical warehouse in Tianjin, north-eastern China, with 54 people still missing. Of the confirmed dead, 67 were firefighters and seven were police officers, according to Xinhua.
