Yangon, Shawwal 19, 1436, August 04, 2015, SPA -- The Myanmar government Tuesday warned low-lying regions to expect more flooding after heavy rainfall brought havoc to higher areas further north, dpa reported. Over 30,000 residents in parts of Ayeyawaddy and Bago regions around the main city of Yangon, and in Mon state had already been relocated to some 65 temporary camps, according to media reports. Local authorities should prepare to move more people in those areas, as well as in border regions including Karen, Mon and Rakhine states, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement said. Weeks of heavy rain have left at least 60 people dead and damaged more than 520,000 acres of farmland across 12 of the country's 15 states. --SPA 14:24 LOCAL TIME 11:24 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
