Stockholm, 17 Dhu-AlHijjah,1436 AH , 01 October,2015, SPA -- Sweden has currently no plans to introduce border controls despite a record inflow of asylum seekers, the government said Thursday, dpa quoted Swedish official. The police and security service agency Sapo have made the assessment there is "no need at present" for border controls, but the government is closely monitoring the situation, Home Affairs Minister Anders Ygeman told a news conference. He added that the government at its cabinet meeting earlier Thursday had assigned the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency to provide updated assessments of the situation. The agency was also to coordinate authorities involved in the handling the influx. "Sweden and Europe are facing a serious situation with the greatest number of refugees since the Second World War," he said. Anders Danielsson, head of the Migration Agency, welcomed the fact that "one agency has been given a supervisory role." -- SPA 21:02 LOCAL TIME 18:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
