Riyadh, Rajab 28, 1436, May 17, 2015, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah Palace here today the Speaker of Arab Parliament Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan accompanied by his deputies and chairmen of committees, who handed the King the Medal of Arab Parliament of First Class in recognition of his courageous positions toward the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he said, " I am pleased today to meet you in your country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and such meetings are for the good of our countries and peoples. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports those who seek to unite the ranks of Muslims and Arabs. The Kingdom feels responsibility, as you know, Arabism launched from the Arabian Peninsula, and the Kingdom constitutes the largest area of the Peninsula, from which Islam launched as well as the Revelation came down to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Makkah and Madinah. This is a pride for us, but it is a great responsibility; our responsibility for the Islamic religion and our Arabism. It is an honor for the Arabs that the Holy Quran came down in Arabic language to an Arab Prophet. Here we must shoulder the responsibility, and our Muslim brothers all over the world are brothers to Arabs exactly. This does not mean that we hold hostility to others. Every person's religion is between him and God; and the dialogue of followers of religions launched by late King Abdullah and the Kingdom's policy since the reign of King Abdulaziz and his sons (Saud, Faisal, Khalid, Fahd, and Abdullah) and now we are going on is uniting the ranks of Arabs, Muslims and countries in the world. --More 15:31 LOCAL TIME 12:31 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
