CALAIS, France, Dhu-AlQa'dah 5, 1436, Aug 20, 2015, SPA -- Britain and France are fortifying security around the Channel Tunnel and boosting intelligence efforts against traffickers as they try to dissuade thousands of migrants from trying to make sometimes deadly an undersea journey to British shores, according to AP. Better fencing, surveillance cameras, flood lighting and infrared detection technology will be installed around the entrance to the Eurotunnel in the French port of Calais, as part of joint efforts being announced Thursday, according to a British statement. Calais has been a flashpoint in a European summer marked by unusually large waves of migrants. Since the start of June, countless of migrants have been trying to sneak through the Channel Tunnel in hopes of finding prosperity in Britain. --SPA 11:10 LOCAL TIME 08:10 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
