The Minister of Health announced the completed readiness of all hospitals and health facilities of the Ministry of Health in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah to serve pilgrims. He confirmed the keenness of the ministry to strictly implement all health requirements at all Saudi air, land and sea inlets to prevent the entry of any infectious disease and protect the pilgrims from getting any infectious disease. He explained that the ministry of health provide all preventive and curative services to pilgrims in health centers and advanced hospitals including major surgical operations. Regarding the current situation of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus and preparations of the Ministry to contain and prevent the transmission of any infection among pilgrims, the Health Minister said that there was an increase in the registered cases of coronavirus at the beginning of August because of the outbreak that occurred in Riyadh King Abdulaziz Medical City Hospital in the National Guard. He said that 141 cases of infection of coronavirus were recorded in August, mostly have related with this outbreak and confined in the city of Riyadh, but in the past few weeks, there was a steady decline in the number of cases associated with the outbreak With regard to the situation in Madinah, the Health Minister said that the number of cases recorded were seven. --More 03:12 LOCAL TIME 00:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
