Muscat, Shawwal 11, 1436 AH, July 27, 2015, SPA - - The Saudi Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman has explained the circumstances of the incident of the Saudi female child Zeinab Bint Mohammed Labad in the Sultanate of Oman. The Embassy reported that the child Zainab had been shot by a mistake while playing in the garden of the hotel in which she lived with her father in Musandam region on 25/07/2015. The embassy added that it followed immediately the incident with coordination with relevant Omani authorities and asked about the incident and was reassured about the condition of the child. The initial investigation showed that the incident resulted from a gunshot from outside the hotel during a special ceremony and investigations are still going about this.
