WASHINGTON, Rabi'II 3, 1436, Jan. 23, 2015, SPA -- An index that is meant to predict the future health of the U.S. economy posted Friday a fourth straight solid gain in December. The Conference Board reported that its index of leading indicators increased 0.5 percent in December after a revised gain of 0.4 percent in November. The index also posted solid gains in September and October after a flat reading in August. The December increase reflected strength in the number of components of the index. Economists at the Conference Board said that the index's reading suggested that the economy was gaining momentum at the end of last year. --SPA 22:25 LOCAL TIME 19:25 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
