PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Shawwal 9, 1436, Jul 25, 2015, SPA --Authorities in Trinidad say a police officer and an inmate have been killed following a violent prison breakout in the island's capital. Police Commissioner Stephen Williams said three inmates brandishing guns escaped Friday from a prison in Port-of-Spain. He said Constable Sherman Maynard was killed during a shootout, according to AP. Two inmates identified remain at large.
