Passenger plane crashes near Pakistan's southern city of Karachi

Islamabad, May 22, 2020, SPA -- An Airbus A320 plane with 107 passengers and crew on board crashed on Friday in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi moments before landing, the country's civil aviation agency said, according to dpa. The plane went down in a residential area, damaging a number of houses, agency spokesman Abdul Sattar Khokhar said. The Pakistan International Airlines plane was flying from the eastern city of Lahore to Karachi, airline spokesman Mohamed Abdullah said.
